I was lucky enough to see the pups again on July 21. They are all adorable round little fuzzballs. We spent some time playing outdoors and then retreated to the basement to get out of the heat. I'm getting so excited and nervous about getting my new little monster. I'm trying to keep an open mind about the girls but it's hard to not lean toward one of them - you can guess which one!

July 14
The puppies celebrated Bastille Day by coming up to Chez Cote for a visit and some torture. They have changed so much in the last 10 days - up on all of their feet and exploring the world. They can see now but are still sometimes adjusting to that new skill. They spent most of the day here but I don't have many pictures. We were too busy playing with them and watching them. Unfortunately, it was (yet again) too hot to do much with them outside. It rained late in the afternoon and cooled down a little. We managed to get some video of them playing outside (links below).
Nathan quickly decided that Poison Ivy was his favorite (at least for the first part of the visit).
He decided to try out Catwoman, too.
Here he is with Nightwing.
The puppies took a lot of "love" from the red-headed Cowboy and lived to tell the tale. They weren't bothered by his loud voice and were mostly very tolerant of being handled by him. I'm sure they passed out as soon as they left our house, though.

Catwoman taking a break.
Poison Ivy's sweet little face.

Independence Day!
I was able to see the puppies on July 4th - 22 days old! They are growing like crazy. They still can't fully see so it's hard to know exactly what they think they're doing but they sure can MOVE. It depends from day to day and hour to hour who is the most active and who thinks it's time for a nap. I visited for about 2 hours in the late morning. Shelly's mom used to have a beauty shop in her basement and this is where the pictures/videos were taken (in case you're wondering about the orange tile and "stuff" in the room). I'm very thankful she allowed us to use her basement as the temperature is just too hot to do anything with the pups outdoors.
During our visit...
Nightwing ruined the curve for the rest of the pups. He is much more confident with his rear and can really move. His vision also seemed to be ahead of the others. It's just a matter of days before the rest catch up but it really was his time to shine.
Robin wasn't as energetic during my visit. Shelly said that he got a little more active later in the day - and was very hungry. Maybe he was tired and sleepy because he's going to have a growth spurt. (Not sure if dogs do that or not, but kids sure do.) He is very cute. I love his dilute spots - gives him a different look depending on which side you see.
Batman is a HAM! He moved all over the place and then wanted his picture taken. He is a howler - so cute to see such a little puppy howling his heart out. He is absolutely adorable (though I have a fondness for red merle boys).

Poison Ivy was a very active little girl during the visit. She was unstoppable. Nothing seems to faze her - so far she has a very even temperament. She's a very cute little girl and it was fun to see her moving all over the place.
Catwoman was a little sleepy during my visit. She moved around some but mostly wanted to sleep. She is usually a little firecracker - just decided she needed some rest for the big holiday. She has such a sweet little face!
Jezebel is a big girl! She was active for a while and then decided she needed a rest. She can get around pretty well and is very sweet.
